At the Cosmetic Vein Centers of Texas, Houston's Premier Vein Clinic, Dr. Skellenger has been has been performing the Endovenous LaserTreatment (ELT or ELA) to remove varicose veins since 2002, longer than any other physician in Houston. He also specializes in spider vein removal and laser treatment to remove veins on the nose and face. Other treatments include rosacea laser treatment and age spot removal. A new addition is the treatment of wrinkles with Botox and fillers.

Dr. Skellenger is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery since 1983. The native Houstonian completed Medical school at Baylor college of Medicine in 1976. He trained in Vascular Surgery under Dr. Michael E. DeBakey until 1984. He is an Expert in percutaneous techniques such as Endovenous Laser Treatment (ELT or ELA) under ultrasonic guidance, which has replaced vein stripping and revolutionized the treatment of varicose veins. He has also been able to move the treatments from the operating room to the in-office surgery room to improve patient comfort, convenience and expense. Local anesthesia only is used instead of general anesthesia. The varicose vein treatments are covered by medical insurance.
